Sirius 8-A Model of History In 1931 Charles and Anne Morrow Lindbergh launched their great circle survey flight to the Orient from North Haven Island in Maine. Their custom plane, a Sirius 8, was built by Lockheed Aircraft in California. North Haven was the summer home of Morrow's, and in the North Island Museum their hangs a large scale model of the Sirius 8.
